Stable Pelvis, Stable Ground:

Embodiment of the pelvic floor is beneficial regardless of your gender or stage of life: we all have one! This workshop will offer tools that will support your abdominals, lower back and the entire spine both on and off the mat. We’ll begin by covering basic and relevant anatomy of the hips and pelvic floor. Then, a carefully constructed sequence will address the importance and application of good breath mechanics, simple core exercises, relevant asanas, and leave time for deep rest and contemplation. Pre/post natal, and injury/condition modifications will be offered. Come exactly as you are, all levels are warmly welcomed. Details and registration here.

Solid Stance Quiet Mind:
Saturday March 8th
Kula Williamsburg in Brooklyn- 1:30-3:30pm
Standing poses give us an opportunity to examine how we walk through the world and how stillness can be settling or trapping. The mental narrative will be revealed in how the pose is practiced. The physical sequence will look specifically at the inner leg line and groin and how they play a part in a balanced standing pose. We’ll use props and varying relationships to gravity to help access, release, and strengthen the groin line. Expect to leave taller, calmer, and revitalized (or at least 2 of the 3!).
